Ticker Tape
Betmgm Supports Safer Gambling Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes (6.00, Wolverhampton, Tuesday)
What's the story?
The newest progeny out of Anthony Oppenheimer's wonderful broodmare Crimson Ribbon requires to the track on Tuesday. Owned by Oppenheimer in collaboration with his daughter Sophie, the Time Test filly boasts a top-class pedigree which has been nurtured over several years by Hascombe and Valiant Stud.
How is she reproduced?
The three-year-old is by the now Turkey-based Time Test, however she has a distaff pedigree that makes her an important long-lasting prospect. She is out of the winning Lemon Drop Kid mare Crimson Ribbon, a sibling to Hardwicke and Jockey Club Stakes winner Bronze Cannon, in addition to a half-sister to King Edward VII Stakes victor Across The Stars. Another of her half-siblings is American Grade 3 winner Valiant Girl, the dam of this year's Listed Jumeirah 2,000 Guineas winner Title Role.
Ticker Tape is in turn a half-sister to Courage Mon Ami, a winner of the 2023 Gold Cup at Ascot for Wathnan Racing, as well as Listed winners Lion's Pride, Danielle, Crimson Rosette and Astronomos.
Who does she face?
Her 3 rivals include the winning Lizzana, a Saxon Warrior half-sister to the Listed-placed Das Rote. The Marco Botti-trained filly has run twice, with her newest effort coming when comfortably landing a Kempton restricted amateur in October.
The unraced Sayidah Aleen is an intriguing contender on pedigree, being a half-sister to black-type winners or entertainers consisting of Dusky Queen. There is a lot of talent in the household as her dam is a half-sister to Sweet Solera Stakes scorer and Moyglare Stud Stakes fourth Albabilia.
Ammoony, a twice-raced child of Zarak, can not be discounted either. She was 5th to 1,000 Guineas entries Touleen and Zanthos on debut at Leicester last September which form was franked when Zanthos captured the Rockfel Stakes. Ammoony finished her juvenile project with a close-up fourth at the exact same track - and over a mile - just under a month later.
