Where the rare clothing actually comes from
The two items most players chase first are the Statue of Happiness T-Shirt and the Beer Hats. They are not sitting in a shop rack, either. You have to work Event Cargo Business Battles for them. That means finding the cargo, stealing it, and dropping it off at your Nightclub. The first delivery usually gives the T-shirt. After that, the hat rewards come in a set order, so you cannot just grab one and call it done.
How to make the event easier
If public lobbies sound like a headache, there is a quieter route. You can run these Business Battles in an Invite Only session, but the lobby still needs at least three active players before the event can spawn. A lot of people miss that part and sit around wondering why nothing is happening. Once the cargo lands safely in the Nightclub, a message pops up in the lower-left corner and confirms the unlock right away.
Other Fourth of July items worth grabbing
You can also buy the regular Independence Day outfits straight from clothing stores like Binco. They are not hidden behind missions, which is nice for a change. If you want a quick checklist, it helps to keep the basics in mind.

Do not wait on the Gun Van
The Firework Launcher comes through the Gun Van during the event week, and this is one of the few times the map icon is available even without GTA Plus. That makes the weapon a lot easier to track down. If you want the full holiday loadout, grab it while the stock is live and then move on to the clothing grind. Once the weekly rotation changes, these Independence Day rewards are gone again, and the only thing left is waiting for next year's reset and checking Grand Theft Auto V Money options if you want to keep building up for the next round.
